Penny Hydraulics takes social responsibility incredibly seriously. It brings us great joy to help the surrounding community flourish and prosper.
We are proud to have been able to support a wide range of community-based initiatives:
At Penny Hydraulics, we value education and believe in supporting young engineers at the start of their careers. As such, over 10% of our workforce are apprentices at all levels up to and including degree apprenticeships.
We also offer our employees the opportunity for personal development through professional qualifications such as The Institute of Learning and Management and chartership status.
Additionally, we work closely with local schools and universities including the AMRC to offer work experience and placements to aid career development. Our Managing Director, Robin Penny, sits on the Industrial Advisory Board at Sheffield Hallam University to ensure their course content remains relevant in the industry. He also sits on the Industry Liaison Board at Chesterfield College and is the Chair of Governors at Eckington School.
