The year 11 students were given a tour of our factory and insights into a career in engineering.
A group of students from Eckington School visit Penny Hydraulics earlier this week as part of Made in Chesterfield.
Made in Chesterfield is a celebration of the manufacturing, engineering, science and technology industries in the town. The campaign looks to inspire the next generation to the industry, with businesses, schools and training providers coming together to showcase the sector.
Design Engineers Umar Lodhi and Elliott Reynolds with the help of Marketing Manager Dan Casey gave the students a presentation and tour. The students were shown the design office and how we design products using CAD and the factory floor to see them being made. Umar and Elliott also gave a presentation about the day to day activities of a design engineer and their routes to gaining their qualification.
