Cyber Essentials Award for Penny Hydraulics

Cyber Essentials Award for Penny Hydraulics

by

Penny Hydraulics are delighted that we have gained Cyber Essentials accreditation.

The government-backed  Cyber Essentials scheme is designed to improve the resilience of UK businesses to the most common cybersecurity threats.

Cyber attacks come in many shapes and sizes, but the vast majority are very basic in nature, carried out by relatively unskilled individuals. They’re the digital equivalent of a thief trying your front door to see if it’s unlocked.

By successfully going through a Cyber Essentials assessment, organisations not only lower their risk of serious data and financial loss but by displaying the Cyber Essentials badge they demonstrate to customers that they have taken steps to be fundamentally cyber safe.

Penny Hydraulics were assessed by the BSI Group and the certificate was awarded this month. Ashley Holmes, Financial Director for Penny Hydraulics led this project:

"We're delighted to have gained this accreditation - security is something that is not taken lightly at Penny Hydraulics. It is reassuring for our customers, partners and suppliers to know that their data is safe. Cyber Essentials has also become a prerequisite for many of the tenders in the sectors that we work in."
