Penny Hydraulics Director Robin Penny to do the Hokey Cokey race this Weekend

by

Managing Director Robin Penny will be swimming 5.2km in the sea and will run 13.8km in the Annual Hokey Cokey Race this weekend at St Austell Bay.

Robin, MD of Penny Hydraulics is a keen fitness enthusiast and is participating in the Annual Hokey Cokey race down on the South Coast this weekend. The 20km course includes a 5.2km swim in the bay as well as a gruelling 13.8km run which includes the legendary 1-mile soft sand beach run that Robin recalls from a previous race as a “morale-sapping stretch”. All of this doesn’t faze Robin though, he is hoping for some good weather and a slightly warmer sea temperature than the current 11.7 degrees which is below average for the time of year.

Robin’s target time is 3.5 hours and reported this morning that he had completed his final preparation swim and run and is raring to tackle the course on Saturday morning with an early 6 am breakfast.

Good Luck Robin!
