The Goods Lift helps the Manchester-based studio move audio equipment up to the recording studio safely.
The studio, based in Salford, has had acts such as Elbow, Bjork, Gorillaz, One Direction, Mark Ronson and more through its doors. (Find out more about them on their facebook page)
We love the video they posted shortly after the lift was installed of one very happy customer (click to watch).
Penny Hydraulics design, manufacture and install a range of lifting solutions to solve problems that businesses such as Blueprint Studios were experiencing. Northern Sales Account Manager Andy Griffiths worked on this project:
‘It was clear from my first visit that something was very wrong with the way in which Blueprint were moving items. They were using a hoist system from the car park to get valuable instruments and recording equipment up to the upper-level recording studio. When the hoist was at the upper level the equipment had to be passed through a window. The solution was clear, a Penny Hydraulics Goods Lift provided a safe and secure way to move items between floors.’
Andy performed a free site visit to review the area where the lift was needed and to discuss the requirements of the business.
‘Customer service and attention to detail from the first site visit to completion was excellent making the whole process easy for us. Going above and beyond your usual services was Andy Griffiths who also helped advise on other aspects of the project.’ Gary Hadfield, Blueprint Studios.
After conducting the meeting Andy worked with our in-house Design Engineers to specify the correct lifting solution to fit the space and meet the needs of the customer.
‘Taking into consideration the space, the weight and travel distance required for the lift our solution was the 500kg Mezz Pro. The order was placed and 6 weeks later we had installed the goods lift.’
Andy Griffith, Goods Lift Sales Account Manager.
Gary was impressed with our installation team's timeliness and ability to solve problems on site:
‘The installation team were always on time and worked hard to accommodate any requirements we had during the installation. They also solved any minor adjustments effortlessly making sure the installation didn't overrun.’
Now Blueprint Studios can advertise that their upper floor studio is easy to access, removing the barrier that customers faced in the hope of attracting more artists.
‘The product is exactly what we required and was designed to perfection so once delivered it fitted exactly to plan.’
Gary Hadfield, Blueprint Studios.
