Highways Penny Hydraulics designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of commercial vehicle load handling equipment for use in construction and civil engineering. Vehicle mounted cranes and platform lifts eliminate the need for manual handling and reduce the risk of injury to the operator and damage to the vehicle and load. They are loads better for the efficient, reliable, economical and safe load handling. Swing Lift vehicle-mounted cranes from Penny Hydraulics include the Kerb Grab, Miniloader, Foldaway and V-Range models with capacities up to 2000kg. Vehicle mounted cranes are ideal for general load handling, lifting items such as building materials that cannot easily be placed on a platform lift and applications where items may need to be lowered underground. Penny Hydraulics rear mounted platform lifts include the Easyloader Tail Lift, Step Lift and Load Lift with capacities up to 550kg. Rear mounted platform lifts are ideal for general load handling and applications where mobile plant and machinery needs to be lifted on and off the vehicle. The unique cantilever design of the Penny Hydraulics Easyloader Tail Lift eliminates the need for support pillars below floor level. This reduces the risk of the equipment snagging on kerbs or raised obstructions which could cause the vehicle to become stranded or damaged in vulnerable or dangerous roadside or construction site locations. The design also allows tow bars to be fitted to the vehicle without modification or risk of snagging. Side mounted platform lifts from Penny Hydraulics include the Side Lift and Load Lift for loads up to 300kg. Side mounted platform lifts are ideal for highways maintenance and engineering applications where a tail lift would be unsafe, impractical or illegal such as motorway hard shoulders, congested urban areas or when parking spaces are too short. They are also a preferred option when unobstructed access is required at the rear of the vehicle or when the load handling capabilities are required for tipping or tipper vehicles. Side mounting also allows items to be loaded to the centre of the vehicle to promote even weight distribution. |
