Electrical switch manufacturer Lorlin Electronics has made better use of available space at its factory in Littlehampton by installing a Mezz Lift supplied by Penny Hydraulics to transfer kits and finished items between ground floor stores and mezzanine production areas.

“We chose the Mezz Lift because it was compact and easy to use,” says David Murrell, Operations Manager at Lorlin Electronics. “It has allowed us to better utilise the space we now occupy.”

The company’s complete range of vehicle mounted cranes, platform lifts, portable davit cranes and its hydraulic rams, roof supports and specialist hydraulic solutions for the mining and power industry are included in the agreement.

Penny Hydraulics has signed an agreement with QT Equipment (www.qtequipment.com) for the sale, distribution and assembly of its range of Swing Lift vehicle mounted cranes in the USA. QT Equipment will initially sell cranes designed and manufactured in the UK by Penny Hydraulics. In the future the company will manufacture and assemble cranes under license in the USA using designs and critical components supplied by Penny Hydraulics.

“Customers in the USA are becoming more aware of the need for safe and efficient load handling when using their commercial vehicles and we see huge potential for this market,” says Bill Penney, articulated cranes sales manager at QT Equipment. “Penny Hydraulics has a great range of cranes that will complement our existing products very well and allow us to offer a new capability to our customers.”
