Many of our market leading products have come about due to a customer coming to us with a specific load handling problem. Through innovation, we have designed a product to meet their needs and it is through innovation that we continue to grow, develop and enhance our product ranges.
An example is the LoadLift Y250, an internal hydraulic loading platform for vans that was developed to address a specific problem brought to us by Royal Mail who needed to load high capacity trolleys of containerised mail through the rear doors of their delivery vans.
The lift was designed with hydraulically powered flaps to allow safe transportation of trolleys and to allow them to be easily rolled on and off the platform.
This product provided an excellent alternative to a traditional externally mounted tail lift which would be unsafe and impractical in congested urban areas, often becoming damaged when travelling over speed bumps.
The ability to carry out kerbside deliveries reduced waiting time helping Royal Mail develop better relationships with authorities.
Utilising the latest 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, Penny Hydraulics is able to offer customers the ability to model up an entire project on-screen.This gives you the advantage of being certain the design is suitable for the job before it reaches the manufacturing or testing stage, as well as providing more effective communication tools than 2D design when speaking to stakeholders.
